Silk
Lame Braid #18 is a wonderful blend of 4 strands of
fine
strands of silk and four metallic filaments braided together to make a
larger strand that works perfectly on 18 count canvas.
This
wonderful mix of silk and metallic fibers gives your design an
elegant sparkle. It can be used as is off the card for
stitching,
no plying necessary. It is best to use a shorter length and
larger needle (#22) works to prevent tangles. It also works
well
for open stitch on larger mesh, especially for water or
skies. It
makes beautiful tassels and twisted cords for finishing.
Silk
Lame Braid #13 is a larger version with the same uses . It is
a
braid of 8 strands of silk and 8 of metallic.
It can be
used off the card for 10 to 14 count canvas. It also works
well
on large count cross stitch fabrics.
